Whether it be your wedding, a proud sporting moment, religious events or graduation day. We can capture from someone's first day, to their last day and in doing this capture and preserve those important memories.

Serious Photography is a transaltantic company bringing world class wedding, portrait and event photography to the UK, Canada and the Pacific North West.

Serious Photography began back in 2006, when a family member asked Mike to photograph their wedding. Matthew saw how his dad was behind the Camera, Mike saw how Matthew could create modern wedding albums, and a business began! We aim to bring contemporary and stylish photos. We want to capture that moment in your life whether a wedding or sporting event, during your first years or nearing the end, on your graduation day or a new look.

Our Welsh office is run by Marie, and our lead photograper is Mike. Mike brings years of photographic experience to the team. During the 70’s and 80’s Mike worked with medium format film, shooting Weddings and Portraits. During this time he was based in both the United Kingdom and South Africa. Mike also enjoys photographing sporting events. Photographing Matthew participating in extreme sports was the reason Mike picked up a camera after a hiatus and moved into the world of digital photography!
When Marie and Mike are not in the office, they enjoy walking and cycling in the Welsh Countryside

Our Canadian office has been set up by Matthew after he moved to British Columbia in 2016. The Canadian office also covers the Pacific North West of the USA. Matthew's photographic mentor was Mike, and he taught himself how to create albums and edit phtographs whilst in High School. His plan was to spend a season at Whistler Blackcomb snowboarding. He now lives there year round, is a Canadian resident and after discovering a passion for Bobsleigh, is training with the goal of reperesenting South Africa at the 2022 Winter Olympics as a 2 and 4 man bobsled pilot!

We work great as an international team, we have extra team members in both locations, and for major events we travel to team up so you get the full Serious Photography experience! We are more than happy to travel, so please get intouch. We have worked in the UK, Canada, South Africa, USA and Europe!
